September has a way of making growth feel practical. School is in motion. Work is full. Family rhythms are being rebuilt in real time. That is why this month’s collection, GROW TOGETHER, matters so much. It is not a soft idea. It is the question underneath most of our days: How do we keep growing with God, with our people, and with the work in front of us — without pulling those things apart?

Today’s post is about that kind of growth. The slow kind. The faithful kind. The kind that happens in kitchens, car lines, late nights, early prayers, and ordinary decisions nobody applauds.

Thoughtful Thursday: Grow Together — What Family, Faith, and the Long Road Teach Us

Grow Together is easy to say and harder to live. It means refusing the lie that we have to choose between loving God, loving our family, and being faithful in our work. Those things are not competing lanes. In a life surrendered to God, they are meant to strengthen one another.

That is one reason we wanted to share a new episode of the Inspirational Echo this week. April Musial sat down to tell the Inspiration Co story — how a family vision grew from a simple idea into a business that has now sold close to 3 million bracelets globally and reached $100 million to date, with more than 60 locations nationwide. She also talks about the part of the story that never shows up on a product page: building a company with God at the center, and doing it while raising five kids in five years.

Reflection

Psalm 127:1 cuts through a lot of noise: “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” That verse is not anti-work. It is anti-self-reliance. It reminds us that effort without God becomes exhaustion, and success without God becomes hollow. Grow Together starts there. We can plan, hustle, parent, lead, and build — but if the Lord is not in the center, the house will not hold.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 gives the human side of the same truth: “Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” Growth requires people. A marriage. A family. A team. A church. A friend who tells the truth. A spouse who carries what you cannot carry alone. April’s story, and ours, has never been a one-person climb. It has been a family learning, failing, praying, and getting back up together.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 shows what Grow Together looks like when children are in the house: “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road.” Faith is not only taught in a class. It is absorbed in the tone of a home. That is one of the quiet tensions of this season for so many parents. The calendar is loud. The mission is big. The children are watching. Grow Together means the next generation does not get our leftover attention. They get to see faith lived in the middle of real responsibility.

Colossians 3:23-24 keeps the work itself holy: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” That verse has shaped Inspiration Co from the beginning. The jewelry, the stores, the events, the podcast — none of it is separate from worship if God is the One we are building for. And Galatians 6:9 adds the stamina every growing family needs: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

This is why Grow Together belongs in September. Students are becoming. Parents are stretching. Teams are carrying more. Churches are finding their fall rhythm. Life Surge weekends remind us that encounter is powerful — but Monday morning is where growth gets proven. The question is not whether we are busy. The question is whether we are growing in the same direction: toward God, toward each other, and toward the people we are called to serve.

You may not be running stores across the country. You may be running a household, a classroom, a small business, a ministry, or a schedule that feels one decision away from tipping over. The principle still holds. Invite God into the building of the house. Let the people closest to you grow with you, not behind you. Measure success not only by what gets done, but by who you are becoming while you do it.
