There’s a sacred hush that comes over us as summer draws near. The school bells will soon fall silent, calendars begin to clear, and the longer days stretch out before us like an open invitation from God Himself. In moments like these, we stand at the edge of something new — a beautiful blank page waiting for our next chapter. The question echoing in my heart today is this: What story will your summer tell?


In just six days, on Tuesday, May 27, we’re launching the Inspiration Summer Challenge: 10 Weeks to Live Inspired. This isn’t just another seasonal promotion. It’s a Spirit-led opportunity to intentionally co-author your summer story with God, one powerful, faith-filled thought at a time through the Inspiration Summer Challenge.

I’ve learned through many seasons of life that our stories are rarely written by the big dramatic moments alone. More often, they are shaped quietly by the thoughts we choose to nurture day after day. One small thought can redirect the course of an entire morning. Ten small thoughts repeated become habits. Seventy days of intentional thoughts can completely transform a summer — and ultimately, a life.

This is why I’m so excited about the Inspiration Summer Challenge. It was created to help you harness the incredible power of one thought and turn it into a lifestyle of inspiration, gratitude, and closeness with God.


A special note today: This post is written with deep love, prayer, and genuine excitement for every single person reading these words — whether you’re a busy parent, a student looking forward to freedom, a professional craving peace, or anyone simply hungry for more of what God has for you this summer.


Mini Sermon Reflection: The Power of What We Think

The Apostle Paul understood the weight of our thoughts better than most. While imprisoned — chained, uncomfortable, and facing an uncertain future — he penned these powerful words:

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” (Philippians 4:8)


Paul didn’t deny his difficult circumstances. Instead, he chose to direct his mind toward higher things. He chose gratitude. He chose hope. He chose to rejoice in the Lord. And because he guarded his thoughts so carefully, his prison story became one of the most encouraging and enduring testimonies in Christian history.

This same choice is available to us today as we prepare for the Inspiration Summer Challenge. Summer is your blank slate. You don’t have to let past disappointments, current worries, or fear of the unknown write your story. Find a quiet spot today and ask yourself these reflective questions:

  • What story have I been telling myself about this upcoming summer?
  • What story do I truly want to tell by the end of August?
  • What kind of person do I want to be when this season ends?
  • What is one thought I can begin choosing today that will help write that story with the Inspiration Summer Challenge?

Write your answers honestly. Then make this declaration out loud: “With God’s help and through the Inspiration Summer Challenge, I choose to write a story of faith, gratitude, joy, and purpose — one powerful thought at a time.”

Practical Tools: Writing Your Best Summer Story with the Inspiration Summer Challenge

  • Begin each morning with a powerful declaration (“It’s gonna be a good day because God is with me”).
  • Start a dedicated “Summer Story Journal” to capture thoughts, prayers, answered prayers, and daily wins.
  • Practice thought replacement: When negativity arises, pause and replace it with Philippians 4:8 truth.
