Happy Transformation Tuesday.

There is a difference between being stirred and being changed. One can happen in a room. The other has to happen in a Tuesday.

This past weekend at Life Surge Portland, we stood with thousands of people who were hungry to build something God-centered. That hunger did not stay in Portland. Every week, hundreds of thousands of people in this community write in, share their stories, and walk into Inspiration Co stores around the country. They tell us about new jobs, new prayers, new courage with their kids, new businesses still in the sketch stage, and old fears they are finally tired of carrying.

If you are reading this, you are not on the outside of that. You are plugged into a living movement of people who are learning, stumbling, starting again, and growing in real time. Created to Create is not a message for a few founders. It is a way of life for a whole nation of people who want their week to look more like obedience and less like delay.

Transformation Tuesday: Created to Create a Different Kind of Week

A different kind of week is not created by better intentions. It is created by a different next move. James 1:22 will not let us stay inspired and stuck at the same time: “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” The Word is not only meant to comfort us. It is meant to send us.

Reflection

Some of the most honest notes we receive are not victory speeches. They are people saying, “I know what I need to do. I just have not done it yet.” That sentence could belong to any of us. The parent who knows the tone at home needs to change. The student who knows comparison is stealing joy. The leader who knows the idea will not launch itself. The believer who knows prayer has become optional.

 Transformation begins when that knowledge gets a date, a conversation, and a first step.

Jesus formed people by putting them in motion. When He told the man at the pool to get up and walk, the healing and the obedience were bound together. When a woman reached for the edge of His garment, she had to press through the crowd to do it. When four friends could not get a paralyzed man through the door, they opened the roof. Faith in the Gospels keeps taking up space in the physical world. It walks. It reaches. It knocks. It lowers a mat through plaster if it has to.

That is the invitation for this week. Not a new personality by Friday. A new pattern by tonight.

Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Renewing the mind is not only thinking nicer thoughts. It is refusing the old pattern: wait, stall, rehearse the worst case, call it wisdom. The renewed mind asks a better question: What is the good I already know to do? James 4:17 answers with holy urgency: if you know the good you ought to do and do not do it, that knowing has not finished its work.

This community is already full of people practicing that kind of transformation. A woman walks into a store and chooses a word she needs to live, not just wear. A dad writes after a Life Surge night and says he finally prayed with his kids in the car. A student tells us they stopped scrolling long enough to start the thing they have been talking about since summer. That is growth. And it is happening in ordinary places — malls, inboxes, kitchens, classrooms, and Tuesday afternoons.

So let this Tuesday plug you in more deeply. You are not trying to become faithful by yourself. You are walking with a people who are learning the same lesson: the work God placed in your hands will not move until you do.

Here is how to create a different kind of week without turning it into a speech.

First, tell the truth about the one assignment in front of you. One. Not a whole new life plan. Write it down in language a child could understand. Then attach the reason. If the reason is thin — image, comfort, proving someone wrong — it will not survive midweek. If the reason is love of God, care for people, and a desire to be found faithful, you can take a bruise and keep going.

Second, give the assignment a body. Put it on the calendar. Send the message. Set the appointment. Open the document. Buy the materials. Ask for the conversation. Delay almost always hides in generalities. “Soon” is where good work goes to sleep.

Third, bring someone with you. Ecclesiastes 4:9 says two are better than one. Text a friend. Tell your spouse. Ask your small group to check on Friday. Growth multiplies when it is witnessed. That is one reason this community matters. You do not have to manufacture courage in private.

Fourth, practice one act of creation that blesses another person before the day ends. Jesus washed feet after teaching. He fed people after preaching. He restored people on the way to somewhere else. If your “building” never touches another human today, it may still be more about you than you think.

Fifth, review the evidence tonight. Not the fantasy version of the week. The real one. What did you actually do? Thank God for that. Then name tomorrow’s next inch. Luke 16:10 reminds us that trustworthiness in little things is how larger things are formed. God is paying attention to Tuesday, not only to the highlight reel.

This is how a week changes. Not by waiting to feel transformed. By practicing a transformed pattern until your life starts to look like what you believe.

• Tell one person so you are not carrying it alone.

• Bless someone on purpose.

• Record what actually moved.

Father, thank You for a community that is growing in public and in quiet. Thank You for every person who writes in, walks into a store, and keeps choosing the next faithful step. Make this week different because we do what You say. Renew our minds. Steady our hands. Let our lives become proof that we are Yours.
