Happy Sacred Sunday! 🙏

As we continue Week 8 of the Good Day Summer Series with the powerful engraving “GOODNESS FOLLOWS ME & LOVE SURROUNDS ME,” today is the perfect time to slow down, worship, and go deeper into the biblical roots of this life-changing declaration.

“Goodness and love are not distant hopes — they are God’s faithful promise walking with us every day.”

Sacred Sunday: The Deep Roots of “Goodness Follows Me & Love Surrounds Me”

This engraving is more than a positive statement. It is a declaration rooted in the unchanging character of God — a promise that has echoed through Scripture for thousands of years. It reminds us that we are not wandering through life alone or hoping for occasional glimpses of goodness. We are pursued by God’s goodness and wrapped in His love every single day.At Inspiration Co., this truth is a central pillar that drives every decision and everything we build. It shapes how we create, how we serve, and how we encourage others to live.ReflectionThe roots of “Goodness Follows Me & Love Surrounds Me” run deep into the heart of Scripture. Psalm 23:6 is one of the most beloved verses in the Bible for a reason: “Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” David wrote these words after walking through valleys, facing enemies, and experiencing God’s provision in the wilderness. He wasn’t speaking from a place of constant ease — he was speaking from a place of deep trust. He knew that even in the hardest seasons, God’s goodness and love were actively pursuing him.

This promise is repeated throughout the Old Testament. In Exodus, God reveals Himself as compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love (Exodus 34:6). In Lamentations, even in the midst of great suffering, the writer declares, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22-23). Time and time again, God’s people are reminded that His goodness and love are not occasional — they are constant, faithful, and pursuing.

In the New Testament, Jesus perfectly embodies this truth. He told His disciples, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you” (John 14:27). He showed us what it looks like to walk in goodness and love even under pressure — healing the sick, welcoming the outcast, forgiving those who betrayed Him. After His resurrection, He sent the Holy Spirit to be with us always, continuing the work of surrounding us with God’s presence and love.

Paul picked up this same theme when he wrote to the Romans: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him” (Romans 8:28). He wasn’t saying every moment is easy. He was saying that God’s goodness is at work even in the hard things, and His love never leaves us.

This week’s engraving and challenge invite us to live in that same reality. When we speak positively over ourselves, we are agreeing with what God says about us. When we avoid toxic conversations and surround ourselves with uplifting people, we are protecting the peace God has given us. When we send encouraging texts and do loving acts anonymously, we are becoming the hands and feet of Jesus in a world that desperately needs to see His goodness and love.

This is the deep root of the message: It is not wishful thinking. It is a faith-filled declaration based on the character of God, the promises of Scripture, and the finished work of Jesus. When we choose to live in it, we step into the freedom and joy that Jesus died to give us.
