We’re stepping into a brand-new week in the Good Day Summer Series, and after an incredible Week 2 focused on “Pray More, Worry Less,” I’m excited to talk about one of the most powerful habits we can build: starting your week (and every day) in prayer.
This simple shift has the power to change everything about how you experience the days ahead.

How you begin your week sets the tone for everything that follows. If you start with worry, rushing, or scrolling, you carry that heaviness with you. But when you start with prayer, you carry peace, clarity, and the presence of God into every situation.
This is the massive power we’re tapping into during Week 2.
Reflection
There is something sacred and strategic about beginning your week in prayer. It’s like aligning your heart with heaven before the demands of life try to pull you in every direction. When you start in prayer, you’re not just checking off a spiritual box — you’re inviting the Creator of the universe to walk with you through every meeting, every conversation, every challenge, and every opportunity.
Prayer does more than calm you down. It reorients you. It reminds you who is really in control. It shifts your focus from problems to the Problem-Solver. It fills you with courage, wisdom, and supernatural peace before the week even begins.
This is why the Apostle Paul gave us such clear instruction in Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Notice he doesn’t say “try not to worry if you can.” He says “do not be anxious about anything.” And the antidote he gives is prayer — not once in a while, but in every situation. That includes Monday mornings when the week feels overwhelming. That includes the moments when anxiety tries to creep in. That includes the quiet times when you need direction.
The new engraving “Pray More, Worry Less” is such a perfect companion for this. Every time you see it on your wrist throughout the week, it becomes a powerful reminder to pause and pray instead of spiraling. It turns potential worry moments into prayer moments. It helps you build the habit of running to God first instead of trying to figure everything out on your own.
This week’s challenge is beautifully designed to help you live this out:
These aren’t complicated steps. They’re practical, doable, and incredibly effective. When you start your week this way, you set a foundation of peace that carries you through the days ahead. You become less reactive and more intentional. You carry a calm confidence that comes only from time spent with God.
Many of you have already shared how this shift is changing your mornings, your interactions, and your overall sense of peace. That’s the power we’re unlocking together this summer.
