Happy Friday Inspiration Co. family!
We continue sharing the courageous, real stories from our Inspiration Nation. These testimonies remind us that even in our most private and painful storms, God is listening, He is near, and He is working.
Today’s special engraving (available only today, April 10, 2026): I PRAYED & THE LORD GRANTED IT – 1 Samuel 1:27
Maria’s Story
Maria Coskey has been walking through the quiet, often invisible storm of infertility. What many don’t realize — and what she didn’t fully understand until she was in it — is how deeply it can affect your mind, your heart, and your faith.
Months turn into years. The longing grows heavier. Questions rise: What is wrong with me? Am I worthy? Why is this happening? Well-meaning comments like “just relax” only add to the noise and the pain. There are private moments of breaking down in tears, feeling alone, grieving while celebrating others’ joy, and wondering how much longer she can carry the weight.
Yet in the middle of this silent battle, Maria has held tightly to her faith. On her lowest days, she reminds herself that God is good and works all things for our good. She draws strength from Hannah’s story in the Bible — a woman who also prayed desperately for a child. Maria believes if God answered Hannah’s prayer, He can answer hers too, according to His perfect will and timing.
Her hope is anchored in 1 Samuel 1:27:
“I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.”She longs for the day she can speak those words herself with tears of joy. Until then, she continues to pray, to trust, and to lean closer to God. This journey, though painful, has strengthened her faith and deepened her relationship with Him.Maria’s story is a beautiful reminder that some of the hardest storms are the ones fought in silence — but they are never fought alone.
Reflection: I Prayed & The Lord Granted It
Maria’s testimony touches a tender place that many carry quietly. Infertility, like so many hidden storms, brings a unique kind of grief — the monthly cycle of hope and disappointment, the silent ache while watching others celebrate new life, the questions about worth and identity, and the exhaustion of trying to stay hopeful when the waiting feels endless.
Yet Maria shows us what faithful endurance looks like. She hasn’t stopped praying. She hasn’t allowed the storm to rob her of her trust in God. Instead, she has allowed it to draw her closer to Him. She holds on to the example of Hannah, who poured out her heart in raw honesty before the Lord and eventually saw her prayer answered.
The engraving “I PRAYED & THE LORD GRANTED IT” is more than a future declaration — it is a present declaration of faith. It says: I am still praying. I still believe God hears me. I still trust that
He is good and that His timing is perfect.
This verse from 1 Samuel carries special power on Feel Good Friday because it reminds us that God specializes in answering the prayers of the desperate, the waiting, and the broken. Hannah prayed through tears and bitterness of soul, and God remembered her. Maria is doing the same — praying through tears, holding onto hope, and choosing to believe that God is still writing her story.Whether your storm is infertility, a longing that remains unmet, a prayer that seems unanswered, or any other deep desire of your heart, today’s engraving is for you. It invites you to keep praying. To keep hoping. To keep trusting that the same God who heard Hannah hears you too.
God’s answers don’t always come in the timing or the way we expect, but they always come with love and perfect wisdom. Sometimes the waiting itself is part of the refining process — drawing us closer to His heart, strengthening our faith, and preparing us for the blessing He has in store. On this Feel Good Friday, may Maria’s story bring you fresh encouragement. Keep praying. Keep believing. Your tears are seen. Your prayers are heard. And the God who granted Hannah’s request is still the God who grants prayers according to His good and perfect will.
I prayed & the Lord granted it — not just someday, but in His perfect way and time.
Christian Faith Points
- God hears the prayers of the desperate and the waiting (1 Samuel 1:27).
- He is close to the brokenhearted and understands every tear we cry (Psalm 34:18).
- Waiting does not mean God is silent — it often means He is preparing something beautiful (Romans 8:28).
- Our deepest longings can draw us closer to God and strengthen our faith.
- We can trust God’s timing even when it doesn’t match our own.
Take a gentle moment today. Is there a prayer you’ve been carrying for a long time — perhaps something you’ve stopped voicing out loud because the waiting hurts? Bring it back to God today. Speak today’s engraving over that desire: “I prayed & the Lord granted it.” Let it be both an honest prayer and a declaration of hope.
Practical Tools: Holding Onto Hope While Waiting
- Daily declaration. Each morning say today’s engraving out loud as an act of faith: “I prayed & the Lord granted it.”
- Prayer journal. Write down your heartfelt requests and leave space to one day record how God answered — just like Hannah did.
- Hannah’s example. Read 1 Samuel 1 this week and notice how honest and persistent her prayers were.
- Community support. Share your burden with one trusted person who will pray with you and remind you of God’s faithfulness.
- Engraving reminder. Wear or carry today’s engraving as a daily reminder that your prayers are heard and God is still working.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Maria’s vulnerable and hopeful story. Thank You that You see every tear, hear every unspoken prayer, and draw near to those who are waiting. Comfort every heart walking through infertility or any long season of waiting. Strengthen their faith. Remind them that You are good and that You still answer prayer according to Your perfect will and timing. Give fresh hope today. We declare with trust: We have prayed, and we believe the Lord will grant it in Your perfect way. Amen.
Commitment / Pledge
Today, on this Feel Good Friday, I commit to keeping my prayers alive even when the waiting is long. I will not lose hope or let the storm shake my faith. I choose to trust that God hears me and is working on my behalf. May this hope bring peace and joy as we continue changing the world one wrist at a time.
