Sacred Sunday: Beauty After the Storm – A Final Celebration

Sacred Sunday: Beauty After the Storm – A Final Celebration

Hey Inspiration Co. family,
Today feels different — sacred, reflective, and full of gratitude.
This Sacred Sunday marks the official close of the Beauty After the Storm engraving series. For weeks, each morning brought a new one-day-only engraving, a fresh reminder that God is still writing beauty from what once felt like ruin. Thousands of you opened your hearts and shared your stories with us — stories of loss and redemption, of darkness and dawn, of pain that refused to have the final word.
We read every single one. We cried with you, prayed with you, and stood in awe as God revealed Himself in the middle of real-life storms. Some of you lost loved ones too soon. Some fought silent battles with health, infertility, or addiction. Some walked through divorce, financial ruin, broken relationships, or mental health crises that left you feeling completely unraveled. And yet, in story after story, we witnessed the same miracle: God never left you in the storm. He walked with you through it, and He is still bringing beauty from it.
As we turn the final page on this series, we don’t want to rush past what God has done. Today we pause, look back with thankful hearts, and celebrate the last six stories that touched us so deeply. These testimonies represent the heart of everything this series was about — the truth that no pain is wasted, no tear is unseen, and no night is permanent.
There is always beauty after the storm.
Reflection: Beauty After the Storm – A Final Celebration of Six Beautiful StoriesAs we close this chapter, let’s take time to remember and honor the final six stories we shared. Each one carries its own unique pain, but all of them point to the same faithful God who redeems, restores, and brings beauty from ashes.Greg Reynolds shared how losing his mom at 16 sent him spiraling into depression and addiction. What felt like total destruction slowly became the foundation for a deeper compassion and a clear fatherly purpose. His pain didn’t vanish, but God used it to build compassion, resilience, and purpose. The courageous woman who chose “One Day Stronger” faced a terrifying type 2 diabetes diagnosis at over 300 pounds. Instead of giving up, she made one faithful choice at a time — overhauling her diet, moving her body, and repeating her simple mantra daily. She lost 120 pounds, reversed much of the damage, and stepped into a healthier, more vibrant life.Thira Simon walked through the unimaginable loss of her only daughter at age 30, suddenly left to raise her four-year-old granddaughter while grieving two sudden deaths in six months. In her deepest pain, God drew near with the promise that He is close to the brokenhearted. He gave her courage to make life an adventure for her granddaughter and the assurance that He would take them both up and carry them.Sherrillan Atkinson watched her life unravel with financial hardship, divorce, single motherhood, and resurfacing past wounds. When striving only made things worse, she learned the power of holy stillness. The words “Be still. God is working” became her anchor, teaching her to trust even when she couldn’t see what God was doing.Maria Coskey has been courageously walking through the silent storm of infertility. The monthly cycle of hope and disappointment, the grief while celebrating others’ joy, and the exhausting questions about worth tested her deeply. Yet she continues to pray with faith, holding onto Hannah’s story and declaring, “I prayed & the Lord granted it,” trusting God’s perfect timing. And finally, Asia Williams faced a year filled with marriage troubles, a sudden miscarriage, financial pressure, parenting challenges, and a mental breakdown. In the middle of it all, she began declaring, “There is joy on the other side.” That simple affirmation gave her the strength to keep going, believing God was preparing something bigger and better than she could imagine. These six stories — and the thousands more we received — all proclaim the same beautiful truth: God never wastes our pain. Some of you lost loved ones too soon.
Some fought battles with health or infertility that no one else could see.
Some carried the weight of divorce, addiction, financial ruin, or mental health struggles.
Some felt completely alone in the dark.
But every single story showed us that God is near the brokenhearted, that He takes us up when we can’t stand, that He works all things for good, and that there really is joy on the other side.As we close the Beauty After the Storm series today, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.Thank you for trusting us with your stories.
Thank you for letting us walk with you through your storms.
Thank you for reminding all of us that no pain is wasted, no tear is unseen, and no night lasts forever.
